Abstract

Reasonable planning of energy stations and networks is beneficial to improve the economy of regional distributed
energy systems (RDES). Based on Voronoi diagram and an improved P-median model, with the goal of minimizing
the costs of the regional station network, this paper studies the number of new energy stations, the site selection and
network layout. Firstly, the number of new energy stations is determined according to the capacity of energy stations,
and based on the characteristics of circles, the method is proposed to determine the initial locations of energy stations.
Secondly, an improved P-median model is proposed to determine the optimal locations of energy stations, and the
minimum spanning tree method using the Prim algorithm is used to optimize the layout of energy networks.
Accordingly, with the principle of minimizing the annual conversion costs of the station network, the RDES station
network optimization model is established. The rationality of the proposed method is verified through calculation
examples.
