jaue2021-020: SWOT Analysis the Development of Fishing Villages Tourism in Qingdao, China

Abstract

In the latest two decades, the Chinese version of rural tourism Nongjiale (Happy farmer home) and Yujiale
(Happy fishermen home), as main form of rural tourism have speedily developed and become important concept of villages transformation and rural revitalization. For improving the level of coastal fishing village tourism and regional rural revitalization, SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) is adopt in this research to make a comprehensive evaluation and analysis on the development of coastal fishing village in Qingdao, China. Taking the traditional coastal fishing village Qingshan fishing village as an example, this paper clearly determines the advantages and disadvantages of coastal fishing village tourism, comprehends the opportunities and challenges to be faced, and also base on the relationship between rural revitalization and fishing village tourism development, propose corresponding countermeasures for future tourism development in coastal fishing villages.
