Abstract

This study develops a UE5-based digital twin platform to support early-stage revisions of a community agreement in a Japanese residential area in Yokohama. The platform integrates prior BIM models and simulation results information, providing interactive 3D visualization, temporal adjustment, and information display. A case study was conducted with committee members, residents, and prospective residents (N=34). Survey results indicated strong interest, improved understanding of environmental issues, and high perceived usefulness for supporting agreement discussions, though some usability challenges remain for elderly and children’s users. The findings demonstrate the potential of digital media to enhance communication in developing communities.
