Abstract

It is increasing that suburban residents have recognized history, natural characteristics, culture, and natural environment of the area as local resources. In this research, novel utilization of irrigation channel in natural environment is suggested and quantitative examination is also carried out to construct low-carbon town in Tsuru City. This study tries to find out how much energy is saved when the water flowing in the water channel is used by the heat pump as a heat source. Also, supposing that the temperature of the water in the surrounding water channels would change due to the water discharged from the heat pump if the energy for cooling and heating would be supplied by the water source heat pump, the distribution of water temperature in the water channel after the use of the heat was obtained using the temperature of the positions and water temperatures actually measured at each location.
