With the continuous development of the urban construction, road networks have become increasingly complex. It became more and more difficult for people to use urban buildings, roads, regions, nodes and other elements to recognize the space environment. As a guidance system that coexists with the city, its development and the problems it faces are closely related to the city's development, urban planning, morphological characteristics and management mode. At the same time, the design of urban road pedestrian guidance system is also one of the important contents of ecological city construction. This paper investigates the current situation of the pedestrian guidance system in the Haijun Square block in Zhongshan District, Dalian, and combines the group behavior theory to summarize the relationship between the pedestrian guidance system and urban development, urban morphology and urban management, and sorts out the road pedestrians in coastal cities in China. The existing problems and influencing factors in the design of the guidance system, in view of the space accessibility and other issues, further explore the strategies for improving the design of the pedestrian guidance system of the coastal city roads in the process of sustainable urban construction.
