JAUE2017-053: The Dynamic Assessment Indexes System of Water Resource Carrying Capacity in Karst Region

Water resources carrying capacity plays an important role in the field of all kinds of natural resources
supporting capacity during the sustainable development in a country or a region. With the Guiyang City of
Guizhou Province as a case study, the factor analysis method is used to select the evaluation indices by removing
repetitive factors. At the same time, the paper using the Grey System Theory to evaluate the relationship of each
subsystem. The result shows that: Fist, the water resource environment condition was relatively stable in Guiyang
city from 2005 to 2012. Second, in the six years, the lowest grey correlation degree was in 2007, the highest was
in 2005. Water resources carrying capacity analysis aims to reveal the relationship among water resources, the
regional economy and population, and to achieve the rational utilization and optimizing allocation of water
resources, to ensure the regional natural resources and the sustainable development of social economy
