Abstract

In these days, the saving energy of houses arepromoted as one of the technique to gain the thermal capacity of wooden houses, the study using PCM (Phase Change Material) advances. In this study, the passive use of the PCM in a house were investigated. Inshort, PCM installed in room of the experiment ridge, and changes of temperature of the room and the panel were confirmed by cooling storage in summer night and direct gain in winter. As a result of summer experiment, the latent heat use by cooling storage of the PCM panel was able to work well. However, It was little time more than 28 degrees Celsius which is upper limit of phase conversion area by the experiment for the winter season. It was found that PCM panel could not utilize a latent heat change much. Problems in the future are the examination ofphase change temperature range and the investigation of the directions for PCM.
