NHL (Natural Hydraulic Lime) is a traditional building material in Europe and has been revalued because of various environmental performances. Our laboratory has developed and inquired about the ways to take advantage of NHL in Japan.
It's not necessary to mix binder because of the potential property of its air hardening and hydraulic property, so it can be said to be building materials utilizable by multiuse.
In this paper, the evaluations about the improvement effect of the quality of air was carried out. They are humidity control, VOC absorption and fungus resistance. As a result, it has become clear that NHL has good environmental performances and brings about the effect of contributing to the improvement of the quality of air.
