In recent years, research and development of liquid-type photovoltaic thermal systems (L-PVTs) manufactured by combining solar and solar thermal systems have been actively conducted for new and renewable energy systems using solar energy. This research was conducted to develop L-PVTs that can be installed on the outer curtain wall of buildings so that they can be efficiently installed on buildings with a limited installation area. First, the study established a development direction that benefits the installation of the L-PVTs on the exterior walls of buildings, as well as the potential to improve performance over existing L-PVTs. Second, optimal values were derived by comparing and analyzing the energy production for each angle of the PV module and the number of PV cells installed in the module through energy analysis. Third, the curtain wall-type L-PVTs were proposed based on the analysis data, and their performance was verified through energy analysis.
