Being different from the direct and dualistic analysis methods of previous researches on the relationshipbetween urban public space and micro climate, this paper think climate affected urban public space just brchanging citizens’ outdoor behaviors. Comfortable micro climate environment improve the possibility ancfrequency of outdoor activities, so as to make a public space more successful.Taking Guanggu Pedestrian Street as an example, firstly through field survey,we summarized the law ospontaneous activities from the type, intensity and time-space distribution. Secondly, we use the ENVI-MEIto simulate the street and analysis the characters and distribution of the thermal environment from the temperature, humidity, wind and lRT The third step is about the correlation analysis of spontaneous activitiesand street thermal environment. One the one hand, we analyse the correlation of single environmental data and figure out their non-homogeneous effects. On the other hand, the correlation of integrated thermal environment has also been analysis, and we conclude the thermal environment characteristic of theses relative steady outdoor public space and its effects of the activities. Finally, from the real usage and the corresponding results of thermal comfort, the optimized strategy could be established, including providing shading, regulating ventilation and changing pavement.
