Aims and Scope

The Journal of Asian Institute of Low Carbon Design is an academic publication focused on low-carbon design, sustainable architecture, urban planning, and environmental improvement in Asia. The journal provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and young professionals to share original research, case studies, design projects, and practical approaches related to sustainable built environments.

The journal aims to promote academic exchange and interdisciplinary discussion on low-carbon strategies, environmental design, building technologies, and urban development. It particularly welcomes studies that address the environmental challenges of Asian cities and regions, including energy consumption, climate change, urban sustainability, disaster risk, and the improvement of living environments.

The scope of the journal includes the following areas:

- architectural design and low-carbon building design;
- urban planning and sustainable development;
- energy and environmental performance in buildings and cities;
- building physics, building technology, and construction materials;
- landscape planning, urban design, and public space improvement;
- disaster prevention, safety planning, and water environment;

The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, case studies, conference-recommended manuscripts, and selected design-based contributions. The Journal of Asian Institute of Low Carbon Design provides immediate open access to its published content. All articles are freely available online without subscription, registration, or access charges.

Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of the articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose in accordance with the journal’s copyright and licensing policy.

The journal supports the principle that open access promotes the wider dissemination and exchange of academic knowledge.
