In the context of the inventory era, the renovation of facilities in old communities will greatly drive urban development. In this article, the basic status and needs of China’s old communities are analysed, and the progress in prefabricated renovation of facilities is studied: (1) The prefabricated renovation can be divided into 2 major items: structural system and facility renovation; (2) The iteration of China’s prefabricated system is divided into 3 stages and the changes of prefabricated development in the past 5 years are analysed;(3) With the interior parts of facilities in old communities as the focus, the comparison of prefabricated building evaluation criteria in Shanghai and that in Zhejiang is made. Based on the above three points, the uneven development of prefabricated renovation is supported by data, and the current situation of accelerated development of prefabricated renovation, as well as the speeding-up trend in the field of steel structure are pointed out. Finally, the author proposes a vision for the combination of prefabricated renovation with BIM technology and the application of the system for traditional wooden building in the future.Downloads
