The railway has become a major transportation to transfer the passengers to various places. Almost all of the railway station located in good accessibility some stations connect to shopping malls, tourist attractions or workplace including Kokura station. Definitely, many people want to use it to go to another place whether it be near or far in rush hour. Therefore, the passenger in railway station, they have various of behaviors and activities depended on the demand, destination and time schedule to connect to each station of each group or individual. The Facilities in the station must sufficient accommodate for passengers also organized to make easily accessible. This research was study about accessibility facilities in Kokura station to analyze the overlap of behaviors and activities in period of times that affected to accessibility facilities. The data was collected by observations and data classification method to identify the four types of access by Interpersonal space theory: ‘Intimate access, ‘Personal access’, ‘ Social access’, ‘Public access ’. The result of this research showed the overlap when the passengers interacted with facilities, the problem is given a design solution to develop the facilities more accessible and maximize follow the concept of transport oriented development (TOD).
