Nowadays, more and more people pay attention to green buildings, and the loss of local culture is serious, which also attracts people's attention. This paper explores the construction methods of low-carbon ecology of tourist toilets from the design and application of local materials, as well as the exploration of preserving and inheriting cultural characteristics and features. Chapter one briefly introduces the problems of tourist toilets and the role of local materials, and puts forward the relationship between materials and toilet buildings. Chapter two expounds the advantages and disadvantages of local materials, and analyses the role of local materials in humanistic characteristics. Chapter three puts forward the way of using local materials in tourist toilets, and puts forward the form of combination with modern. Chapter four combines the local materials of Yibin in southern Sichuan, bamboo, to elaborate the way of combining some toilets with local materials.The last chapter serves as a concluding remark to clarify the full-text arguments.
